Meditation: Living the Dream of God—Now
Texts: Isaiah 65:17-25 and Luke 21:5-19
Settle.
Take a deep breath.
Notice the world around you.
Breath Prayer:
Inhale: Open my heart to your Dream, O God…
Exhale: …and let me be your love, justice, and hope in the world.
Thought For the Day:
These days, it’s easy to wait for things to get better, to hope someone—or God—will come in and set things right. But the invitation from Isaiah and Jesus is not to wait passively but expectantly. It is to imagine, and to begin living, the Dream of God today.
God’s Dream is a world where no one is left out, where justice and peace are real, where even old enemies find a place together.
We are not spectators.
We are participants.
We are invited to step in and help make that Dream real.
Questions For Reflection:
Where am I holding onto comfort, habit, or certainty instead of daring to risk my place in God’s Dream?
What “temple”—habit, belief, or security—do I need to release, so something new can grow in me?
Where am I being nudged to act, speak, or love, even if it brings discomfort or resistance?
Prayer:
Gracious God,
Thank you for the gift of your Dream and the courage to grow. Open my eyes to the places where I can bring hope, peace, and justice. Strengthen me to live as your child in the world — willing to risk, to love, and to manifest your Dream, today and every day.
Amen.
May you live today as a sign of God’s Dream—bringing peace, justice, and hope, wherever you are.
