Blessed Are You: Living the Dream, One Step at a Time
Texts: Micah 6:1-8 and Matthew 5:1-12
Take a moment to settle in. Let your breath slow. Notice your body—your feet on the floor, your hands at rest.
Allow yourself to arrive just as you are, with whatever weight you carry today.
Recall the Promise
Hear these ancient words, spoken to ordinary people in the middle of real life:
Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly with your God.
Blessed are you… right here, right now, in your longing and your not-enoughness.
Reflect
Where do you notice the pressure to prove yourself, to keep up, to be “enough”?
Where are you tired or hungry for blessing?
Consider
Can you recall a time when a small act—a word of kindness, a moment of justice, a choice to forgive—changed your whole day?
Where might you offer such a “little thing” this week?
Pray
God of the Dream,
Meet me in the mess, in the longing, in the ordinary.
Help me to risk a small act of justice, kindness, or humility today.
Remind me that blessing is not for the perfect, but for those willing to show up and try.
May I live your Dream, one step at a time.
Amen.
Rest here a moment longer. Notice what arises.
When you’re ready, return to your day—carrying the quiet hope that the Dream of God is already growing, right where you are.
